an experimental nuclear physicist, working as Staff Scientist (Career-track) in the Low-energy Nuclear Structure Group at Berkeley Lab.
aims at breaking down the fundamental question of what binds the atomic nucleus by studying exotic nuclei and the nuclear interaction from long to short distance. Bridging 20 orders of magnitude in length scale, my work also helps understanding the structure of neutron stars.
experiments at particle accelerators like GSI-FAIR in Germany, RIBF-RIKEN in Japan, and Jefferson Lab and FRIB in the US in which we break atomic nuclei apart in scattering reactions to learn about their structure.
